The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marlowe tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Phillip Marlowe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lucic drives through with a takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

That was a close round but I would say that Milan Lucic will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
A lazy left from Marlowe finds it's target.

Lucic changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Marlowe tries to avoid it but Lucic manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Marlowe to the ground. Marlowe escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Marlowe tries to bum rush Lucic with a series of wild strikes but Lucic uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Marlowe shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Lucic eats them both and turns towards Marlowe to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Lucic shoots for a double leg takedown but Marlowe sprawls well. He's pushed Lucic's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Lucic jumps guard but Marlowe stands there with Lucic around his waist. Lucic gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lucic, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
