PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marc Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Dux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is RAWR. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Marc Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Dux!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dux changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Anderson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Anderson can't do much from the bottom here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dux tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dux has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Anderson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Dux drops back, looking for a kneebar! Anderson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Anderson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Anderson!

Anderson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dux, who protects the arm well.
Dux is looking for a sweep.

Anderson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dux knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Dux manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Anderson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dux pulls his head out easily.

Dux is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Anderson looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Dux has picked Anderson up and slammed him! Anderson can't keep hold of the triangle and Dux manages to pass to side control!

Dux swings around for an armbar but Anderson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Dux's guard.

A close round but Frank Dux will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Dux feints and as Anderson raises his hands in defense, Dux changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Dux won't allow Anderson to sweep him here.

Anderson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Dux has a hand on Anderson's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Anderson takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Dux tries to improve his position but instead Anderson has taken his back!

Anderson is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Dux won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Anderson off his unconscious opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:04 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Marc Anderson!
