Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pete Bowman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Shinobi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bowman comes to the cage accompanied by Dark Tranquillity - Misery's Crown. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pete Bowman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Max Shinobi!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, David Schapiro and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowman takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Bowman lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Bowman throws a sloppy body shot
and Shinobi counters with a low kick, right behind Bowman 's knee.
Bowman throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Shinobi on the side of the head.
Max Shinobi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A telegraphed right hand from Bowman misses the target.
Shinobi swings for the body but Bowman moves out of range.
A low kick from Bowman misses
and Shinobi counters with a straight right hand.

Shinobi pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Shinobi takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Both fighters circling a little - Shinobi finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Shinobi gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Bowman counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Bowman tries to land a leg kick but Shinobi saw it coming and moves away.
Shinobi darts in trying to clinch
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Bowman connects with a leg kick. Shinobi looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Shinobi throws a hook but Bowman blocks it.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Bowman.

Shinobi throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Bowman fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Shinobi takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Bowman thows a leg kick but Shinobi checks it
and Shinobi counters with a nice low kick that buckles Bowman's knee momentarily.
A shot to the body from Shinobi misses
and Shinobi takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Shinobi misses with a head kick.
Bowman scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Shinobi doesn't seem bothered though.
Bowman stuns Shinobi with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Bowman throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bowman turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Shinobi misses with a few strikes there.
Shinobi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Shinobi throws a body punch but Bowman moves out of range.
Shinobi uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bowman.

Bowman thows a leg kick but Shinobi checks it
and Shinobi counters with a nice leg kick.
Bowman tried to score with a low kick but Shinobi checks it.
Shinobi moves out of range of the leg kick from Bowman.
Shinobi just misses with a punch to the body.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bowman cracks the inside of Shinobi's front leg.
Bowman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shinobi manages to avoid it.
Bowman misses with a leg kick.
Shinobi fails in his attempt to clinch.
Shinobi takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Shinobi is breathing heavily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bowman throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shinobi misses with a few strikes there.
Bowman has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Shinobi throws a leg kick that is checked
and Bowman makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Shinobi throws a lazy head kick
and Bowman makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Shinobi tries to clinch there but Bowman circles away.
Bowman is looking to wear down Shinobi with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Shinobi throws a leg kick but Bowman checks it.
Shinobi tried to score with a low kick but Bowman checks it.
Shinobi throws a head kick that misses.

Shinobi shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Shinobi takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Bowman fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Shinobi.

Bowman throws a chopping leg kick but Shinobi manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Pete Bowman is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
