Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Herbie Hide (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lowell Stanley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hide kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Taste of ink -The Used. The crowd seem to be enjoying Stanley's choice of entrance music: The Hammer. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Herbie Hide! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lowell Stanley! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Reed Andrews and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hide uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Stanley. Hide shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Stanley defends it nicely. Stanley scores with a nice strike. Hide shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stanley pinned against the cage. Stanley gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Stanley throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Hide counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Hide shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Hide was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Hide lands with some strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hide is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Stanley to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Stanley shrugs it off. Stanley is wriggling around trying to escape.
This has been an exciting period of action! Stanley wants to control but Hide is having none of it. Stanley keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Stanley tries to hold on but Hide postures up. Stanley gets back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stanley is looking to improve his position.
Hide trying to control from half guard but Stanley is working away. The fighters are battling for position here. Stanley manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Stanley looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Hide throwing strikes but missing. Hide controls from within his opponent's guard. Hide prevents Stanley from getting back to his feet. Hide wants to control from the top but Stanley keeps moving. Hide might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Herbie Hide. Stanley slaps away a takedown attempt from Hide, before circling back to the center of the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Herbie Hide. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hide misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Stanley.
Stanley getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Hide shoots in for a takedown but Stanley shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. A lazy left from Stanley finds it's target. Stanley connects with the punch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hide fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Stanley avoids it really well and circles away. Stanley ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hide moves away. Stanley cracks Hide with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Stanley throws a hook but Hide avoids it easily. Hide walks into a jab. Hide needs to keep his hands up - Stanley had a free shot at his head there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stanley bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Hide's head backwards. Herbie Hide seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stanley moves out of range as Hide strikes. Hide looks for a takedown but Stanley sprawls well. Stanley is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Hide had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Stanley stuffs the takedown attempt from Hide. Hide gets slowly back to his feet. Hide is breathing heavily. Hide looking to score a takedown here. Stanley is defending well but Hide drives through and ends up in Stanley's guard. Stanley will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Stanley is pulling down on Hide's head to control his posture. Stanley keeping moving, preventing Hide from controlling successfully. Stanley looking for a sweep. Not yet Stanley, not yet. Stanley keeping moving, preventing Hide from controlling successfully. Stanley wants to get back to his feet but Hide is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Herbie Hide wasn't doing enough on the ground. Stanley connects with a right hand. Hide shakes it off.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stanley will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Stanley's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Stanley duly obliges. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Stanley stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Hide is rocked! Hide loses concentration momentarily and Stanley pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Hide crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Stanley finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Lowell Stanley!
