Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nick James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Some Days!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Nard Betker and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Days tries to bum rush James with a series of wild strikes but James uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

James shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Days's guard.

Days escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. James gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Days looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

James thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
James slips nicely into half guard.

James seems to be working for a kimura but Days defends the submission attempt.

James looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Days wants to get back to full guard.

James is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
James is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Days gets back to full guard.
James trying to control but Days is working from the bottom.
James missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Days is looking for a triangle here but James uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Days tries to improve position but can't.

James wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Days, who protects the arm well.
James is looking to take a break and control but Days is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

James looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Days wants to control but James postures up.

James is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Days is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

James misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Days regains half guard.
James has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Days is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

James wants to finish this one by submission but Days is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from James.
James looking to control but Days is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Days has left one of his arms exposed and James doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Days screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
