Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Nakahev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mads Soren Kassler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vladimir Nakahev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mads Soren Kassler! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Vladimir Khabensky and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nakahev lands the left hand. Nakahev throws a head kick but Kassler moves out of range.
Nakahev throws a sloppy head kick and Kassler moves out of range easily. Nakahev throws a quick inside leg kick. Nakahev throws a head kick that misses. Vladimir Nakahev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nakahev misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Nakahev throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Nakahev lands a head kick. Kassler smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Nakahev tries a head kick but it misses.

Nakahev throws a sloppy head kick and Kassler moves out of range easily. A head kick by Nakahev misses and Kassler counters with a takedown into side control. Kassler wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nakahev keeps working.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kassler is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Nakahev will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Kassler trying to control the action but Nakahev is working from the bottom. Kassler creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Nakahev sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Kassler controls the position from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Mads Soren Kassler wasn't active enough on the ground. Kassler shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Kassler takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Nakahev, right into the meat.

Nakahev closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Nakahev lands in his opponent's guard. Nakahev with a nice head shot there. Kassler looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nakahev is looking to work some ground and pound but Kassler has wrist control. Nakahev postures up.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nakahev accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kassler avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Nakahev missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Nakahev wants to stand and escape but instead Kassler has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Kassler wants to control from the top but Nakahev keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Mads Soren Kassler hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Nakahev changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kassler looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Kassler is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Kassler takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Nakahev landing strikes. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kassler manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Kassler missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kassler tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Nakahev throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Kassler shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kassler showed some decent athleticism there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kassler is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Kassler wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nakahev keeps working.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kassler is controlling the pace.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Let's hope that Kassler has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Mads Soren Kassler. Nakahev shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nakahev not landing any meaningful shots this time. Nakahev winds up and cracks Kassler with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Nakahev looks to land a strike but Kassler avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Kassler escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nakahev gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Mads Soren Kassler has got the better of the ground game so far. Kassler wants to stand but Nakahev is controlling the position. Nakahev stopping the sweep attempt from Kassler. Kassler keeping moving, preventing Nakahev from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nakahev stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kassler swivels though and keeps the full guard. Nakahev looking to sit in guard and control but Kassler gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Nakahev is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Kassler seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Vladimir Nakahev. A momentary lapse in concentration from Kassler enables Nakahev to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kassler manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Nakahev stopping the sweep attempt from Kassler. Kassler working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Nakahev. Nakahev with a flurry of punches that miss. Kassler keeping moving, preventing Nakahev from controlling successfully. Nakahev throwing strikes from guard but Kassler blocks nicely. Nakahev won't allow Kassler to sweep him here. Kassler is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Mads Soren Kassler will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Nakahev's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Nakahev connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Kassler slips under a jab from Nakahev. Nakahev throws a sloppy head kick and Kassler moves out of range easily. Kassler misses with a takedown attempt and Nakahev counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kassler! Nakahev with good strikes from the mount here! Nakahev lands a big elbow.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kassler tries to lock up and control but Nakahev gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Nakahev keeps control of the position for the meantime. Kassler wants to take a breather but Nakahev is having none of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Mads Soren Kassler. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kassler checks a leg kick. Nakahev throws a jab but it's blocked by Kassler. A cross from Nakahev lands. Nakahev pulls out of a head kick attempt.

And that's the end of the fight! Vladimir Nakahev showed his dominance in that final round. Well Nakahev has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
