Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mack McNamara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazuo Hashimoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kazuo Hashimoto will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McNamara tries for a takedown but Hashimoto circles away easily and McNamara takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Hashimoto misses with a looping left. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McNamara shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. McNamara sitting in guard, not really doing much. McNamara wants to control from the top but Hashimoto keeps moving. McNamara is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hashimoto is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Mack McNamara has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. McNamara gets cracked there but stands up to it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Hashimoto slaps away a takedown attempt from McNamara, before circling back to the center of the mat. Hashimoto scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McNamara on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Hashimoto lunges at McNamara with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by McNamara's hand. McNamara changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hashimoto tries to avoid it but McNamara manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hashimoto to the ground. Hashimoto escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mack McNamara. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hashimoto scores with a nice right hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hashimoto moves into range and connects with a jab. Hashimoto throws an overhand right that lands on McNamara's shoulder, as McNamara tries to avoid the shot. Hashimoto clobbers McNamara with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kazuo Hashimoto dominated that round. That's time! McNamara's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Hashimoto tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McNamara was well out of range. Poor timing from Hashimoto. Hashimoto lands with a straight right. McNamara didn't see that one coming. McNamara blocks a jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McNamara shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hashimoto pinned against the cage. Hashimoto gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jab by Hashimoto. McNamara drops his hands momentarily and Hashimoto takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Hashimoto throws a hook but McNamara avoids it easily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. A shot to the liver by Hashimoto. Beautiful body shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kazuo Hashimoto showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
McNamara avoids a lazy jab quite easily. McNamara shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hashimoto as he jumps to the side. Hashimoto throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Hashimoto keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mack McNamara. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. McNamara has his takedown stuffed letting Hashimoto counter with a right hand. Hashimoto throws out a token jab with nothing on it. McNamara misses with a takedown attempt - Hashimoto sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Kazuo Hashimoto is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McNamara fails with a takedown attempt from distance. McNamara misses with a takedown attempt and Hashimoto counters with a right hand to the body. McNamara misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Hashimoto might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

He's got hold of a leg but Hashimoto swivels and escapes. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hashimoto's jab looks to have found its range, popping McNamara under the eye. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
