Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Raja Dat! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rafeal Djocovito! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Winston Howard and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dat throws the left hand but Djocovito avoids the punch easily. Dat misses the jab. Djocovito wants to clinch letting Dat counter with a right hand. Rafeal Djocovito seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Djocovito uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dat. Djocovito avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Djocovito slips a straight right by Dat. Dat throws an off balance right hand
and Djocovito counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dat won't be happy with that. Dat is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Djocovito working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Dat managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Djocovito.
Djocovito working the ground and pound but Dat is defending the strikes. Dat on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dat tries to get out of the position. Dat tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Djocovito misses with the ground and pound. Djocovito landing strikes.
It looks like Raja Dat has been cut. Djocovito in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Djocovito misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Djocovito working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. The strikes coming from Djocovito are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Djocovito thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Djocovito throwing shots but missing, from side control. Djocovito working the ground and pound but Dat is defending the strikes. Dat knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Djocovito on the ground. Djocovito misses with the ground and pound.

Raja Dat's cut is getting worse. Djocovito working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Djocovito landing strikes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Djocovito lands a nice forearm strike. Sloppy strikes there by Djocovito. Djocovito lands an elbow.
Raja Dat's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Sloppy strikes there by Djocovito. Dat is breathing heavily. Djocovito advances to full mount. Dat is bucking up trying to escape but Djocovito cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Jeez, Raja Dat's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Raja Dat's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
