Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yoshimora Chiba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jefferson da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chiba comes to the cage accompanied by Angel of Death. da Silva is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: I Hate Everything About You. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chiba throws a looping overhand right but da Silva ducks down to avoid it.
Chiba cracks da Silva with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Chiba misses with a straight left.

and Chiba makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and da Silva decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Chiba's guard.

da Silva drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and da Silva jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Chiba is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if da Silva gets his way!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
