The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pride tries for a takedown but Stalone circles away easily

and Stalone counters with a single leg into guard. Pride didn't expect that.
Pride wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stalone drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Stalone jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Stalone decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Stalone fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Pride gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Stalone counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Pride is trying to drag Stalone to the mat but Stalone just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Brandon Stalone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Pride.

Pride breaks from the clinch.
Stalone will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Stalone fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pride scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Pride pushes Stalone up against the cage in a clinch.
Pride looks gassed!
Pride tries to throw a body punch but Stalone avoids it by throwing Pride back against the cage.

Pride pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Pride rushes Stalone and presses him up against the cage.
Stalone throws a punch but it's blocked by Pride.

Stalone gets control of Pride's arms and successfully pulls guard. Stalone will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Stalone is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Pride rolls with it to try and escape but Stalone cranks on the arm and Pride is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
