Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rogerio Werdum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trey Oeuftete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oeuftete comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Way I Feel kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Trey Oeuftete has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oeuftete misses with a lunging right hand
and Werdum counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Werdum is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Oeuftete tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Werdum prevents Oeuftete from getting back to his feet.
Oeuftete has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Werdum can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Werdum stops Oeuftete from standing up.
Oeuftete has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Werdum off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Oeuftete takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Oeuftete feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Werdums jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Werdum connects with a nice looking jab.
Trey Oeuftete seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Werdum lands a stunning uppercut that sends Oeuftete to the mat!

Werdum is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Oeuftete sees it coming and defends easily.

and Werdum cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Werdum connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Werdum steps into range and cracks Oeuftete with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Oeuftete flops backwards and Werdum dives into his guard looking to finish!
Oeuftete is still in real trouble! Can Werdum finish him?
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Werdum thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Oeuftete seems to have recovered his senses.

Werdum thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Oeuftete tries to buck Werdum off but Werdum is having none of it.

Oeuftete bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Werdum throws a lazy right hand but Oeuftete sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Werdum counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Oeuftete's guard now.
Werdum postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Werdum is working Oeuftete over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Oeuftete wants to get back to his feet but Werdum is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Werdum passes into half guard.

Werdum slips a nice elbow through Oeuftete's hands, connecting with Oeuftete's forehead.
Oeuftete is defending against the submission attempts here by Werdum.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Oeuftete tries to close the distance and clinch up but Werdum swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Werdum works Oeuftete's body with a nice hook.
Werdum tests Oeuftete's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Oeuftete blocks a jab.
Werdum shoots in and bounces Oeuftete off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Werdum drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Werdum jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Oeuftete had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Werdum defends it easily.

Werdum tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Werdum has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
