With a record of 21 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jonny Bridge!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lei Wulong!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wulong lands a jab to the head.
Bridge throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bridge ducks under a wild hook from Wulong.
Bridge throws a half hearted mid kick.
Bridge walks into a jab.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Bridge misses the shot to the body.
Bridge misses with a leg kick
enabling Wulong to counter with a crisp jab.
A low kick from Bridge is predictable there
and Bridge takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Wulong throws an off balance right hand
and Bridge counters with a body kick.

Wulong takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Wulong keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bridge.
Bridge tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Wulong manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bridge dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Wulong. That did some damage!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Wulong throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Wulong connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Bridge's hands.
Bridge gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Wulong cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Wulong keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Bridge lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Wulong avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Wulong dives in and grabs Bridge's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bridge pushes down on Wulong's head and hops out.

The fighters circling - Wulong throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Bridge throws a big shot that misses.
Wulong rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bridge moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

and Wulong counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Bridge thinking.

A close second round but Lei Wulong will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

so Wulong counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Wulong seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Wulong is looking to advance position but Bridge has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Wulong avoids a series of strikes thrown by Bridge.

Wulong wants to control but Bridge is having none of it.

Bridge takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Bridge's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Bridge knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wulong on the ground.

Bridge pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Wulong shoots in and drives through. Bridge sprawls well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

and Wulong counters with an inside leg kick.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Wulong shoots in but Bridge avoids the takedown attempt easily.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Well Wulong has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
