Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kale Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cruz has chosen Welcome to the Jungle as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Bobby Clark has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

With a record of 22 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kale Cruz!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clark throws a lazy uppercut
and Cruz counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Clark stuns Cruz with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Clark will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Clark misses with a looping right.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Some wild striking there from Clark.
Cruz misses with an uppercut
and Clark counters with a thumping low kick.
Cruz throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Nice shot lands for Clark.
Clark looks to land a right hand but Cruz moved out of range.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Clark misses with a hook
and Cruz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Clark takes a swing at Cruz's ribcage but misses.
Cruz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Clark manages to avoid it.
Cruz misses with a left hand
and Clark connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Cruz throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Cruz connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Clark momentarily.
Clark slips a jab from Cruz.
Cruz misses the jab.
A jab from Clark does it's job there.
Clark misses with a hook to the body
and Clark takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Cruz swings for the body but Clark moves out of range.
Clark throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cruz.
Cruz misses with an uppercut.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

and Clark counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

That was a close round but I would say that Bobby Clark will probably get the nod.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Cruz shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Clark as he jumps to the side.
Cruz lands with a good body shot.

Clark gets caught flat footed, as Cruz shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Clark looking for a sweep. Not yet Clark, not yet.
Cruz trying to control but Clark is working from the bottom.
Cruz landing with the ground and pound.
Clark is adopting a defensive guard.
Clark keeping full guard, as Cruz tries to pass.
Clark will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Clark throws a shot from downtown. Cruz moves away and avoids it.

Kale Cruz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Clark smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Clark throws a jab but it's blocked by Cruz.
Clark misses with an uppercut. Cruz saw that one coming.

Cruz lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Clark missing with a left hand there. Cruz was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Cruz lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

and Clark counters with a big head kick but Cruz shrugs it off.
Clark moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Clark swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Clark throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

That's time! Clark's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Kale Cruz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Cruz has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
