Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Esposito! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lucifer Jones! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Esposito fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Jones checks it well. Jones dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Jones looks for the body kick but Esposito saw that one coming. Esposito staying out of range there. The fighters circling - Jones throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Esposito dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Jones. That did some damage! Jones just misses with a punch to the body.
A low kick from Esposito is predictable there and Esposito takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Jones pushes Esposito up against the cage in a clinch. Jones is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Jones lands a nice uppercut. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Jones. Esposito keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Jones's efforts to push away. Esposito blocking some punches.

That's one minute gone in the round. Esposito crunches a lovely knee into Jones's ribcage. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Jones. A head punch on the inside from Jones fails to land. Jones pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Esposito with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Esposito throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Jones connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Jones lands a glancing blow to the side of Esposito's head. Jones throws a right hand that misses
and Esposito counters with a nice body kick. This has been an exciting period of action! Esposito thows a leg kick but Jones checks it letting Jones counter with a right hand. Esposito tries to close the distance and clinch but Jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Esposito counters with a low kick, right behind Jones 's knee. Esposito takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Esposito fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jones looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Esposito misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Some bone on bone action there as Jones checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Jones misses with a body shot.
Esposito lands with a straight right. Jones didn't see that one coming. A low kick from Esposito is predictable there and Jones counters with a left to the body. Some wild striking there from Jones.

and Esposito counters with a thumping low kick. Esposito tries to clinch there but Jones circles away.

Esposito had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Jones misses with a wild body shot. Jones scores with a nice head shot. Esposito takes a shot to the nose. and Jones counters with a good, hard body kick but Esposito shrugs it off. Esposito misses with a leg kick and Jones counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Jones cracks Esposito with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jones connects with a crisp jab. Jones is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Esposito misses with a leg kick and Jones counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. A looping hook to the body misses from Jones. Esposito does a little dance to reset his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones misses with a jab, cross combination.
Esposito is looking to clinch. Good leg kick by Esposito there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Esposito wants to land a leg kick but Jones is out of range. Esposito misses with a shot to the body and Jones counters with a lovely straight right hand! Esposito throws a quick inside leg kick.

Esposito misses with a leg kick and Jones finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jones thuds a left hand into Esposito's body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Good exchange - Jones coming out on top. Jones buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Esposito scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Sloppy strikes from Jones. Those never looked like landing. Jones shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Esposito eats them both and turns towards Jones to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Jones throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Jones connects with a looping right hand.

Jones scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Jab from Jones. Jones misses with an uppercut. Jones is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Esposito like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Esposito from another fist facial!
