Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Felix St Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dilbert Chavez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chavez has chosen When Worlds Colide by Powerman 5000 as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St Pierre throws a nice looking combination but Chavez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Chavez misses with an uppercut
and St Pierre counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Chavez throws a big shot that misses.
St Pierre shoots in and drives through. Chavez sprawls well.
Chavez misses the jab.
Chavez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
St Pierre is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Chavez pulls his head out easily.
St Pierre looking for subs from the bottom but Chavez mounts him!
St Pierre wants to hold on but Chavez pushes him away.
St Pierre is looking to improve his position but Chavez isn't that keen on the idea.
St Pierre wants to control but Chavez is having none of it.

St Pierre is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Chavez pulls his head out easily.
St Pierre has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Chavez is working away from the top position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chavez is looking to take a break and control but St Pierre is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
St Pierre looking for submissions off his back.
Chavez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with St Pierre. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
St Pierre slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Chavez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

St Pierre has momentary wrist control but Chavez slips an elbow through the middle.

St Pierre is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Chavez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Chavez's back!

St Pierre is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Chavez rolls with it to try and escape but St Pierre cranks on the arm and Chavez is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
