The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duncan tries a head kick but it misses.
Nice cross by Thomas.
Donk. Thomas catches Duncan right on the button with a cross.
Thomas throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Thomas needs to keep his hands up - Duncan had a free shot at his head there.
Thomas misses with a straight right.
Thomas swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Thomas connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Duncan momentarily.
Thomas misses with a shot to the body
and Duncan counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Duncan slips a jab and a cross from Thomas.
Thomas throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Duncan on the side of the head.
Duncan thumps Thomas with a low kick.
Duncan takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Jeff Thomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Duncan misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Thomas.

Duncan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Thomas throws a left and a right that both miss
and Duncan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Thomas throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Duncan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Thomas throws out a loose jab but Duncan uses good head movement to avoid it.
Thomas rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Duncan counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Thomas is rocked!
Duncan feints a jab and as Thomas dips his head, Duncan unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Thomas right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Thomas falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Duncan smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Tim Duncan!
