Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Diego Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sterling Contreras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ramos displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Contreras. Ramos lands a two punch combo.
Contreras shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ramos defends it nicely. Contreras closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ramos quickly recovers to half guard. Contreras content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Ramos really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Contreras is working for a submission of some sort.
That's one minute gone in the round. Contreras looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Sterling Contreras has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Contreras changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ramos tries to avoid it but Contreras manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ramos to the ground. Ramos escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Diego Ramos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sterling Contreras.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Ramos lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Contreras gets the takedown into side control. Contreras tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Contreras has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Contreras swings around for an armbar but Ramos sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Contreras's guard. Contreras is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Contreras lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Ramos!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Contreras has hold of Ramos's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Ramos manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Contreras wants to finish this one by submission but Ramos is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Contreras. Contreras sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Ramos tries to hold on but Contreras pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Contreras controlling from mount. Contreras goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Ramos turns into him and now he's in Contreras's guard.

Sterling Contreras dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Ramos will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Ramos tries to sprawl but Contreras drives through with a takedown into half guard. Contreras is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Contreras is looking for a kimura but Ramos is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Contreras to get the leverage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Well, if Contreras is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Contreras is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ramos defends it well. Ramos trying to control but Contreras postures up.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Let's hope that Contreras has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sterling Contreras showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Ramos leaves Contreras with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Ramos swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

It's a sloppy attempt though and Contreras jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Contreras advances position into side control! Ramos is trying to escape the position but Contreras is controlling the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Contreras has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Ramos is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Contreras yanks on the arm and Ramos is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Contreras.
