Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jin Lieu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Fagan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Lieu might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to "Derezzed" by Daft Punk. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Fagan with a lazy takedown attempt
and Lieu counters with a one-two to the body.
Lieu drops Fagan with a left right combo! Lieu follows him down to the ground into side control.
Lieu decides to take the fight back to the feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fagan with a hook.
Lieu looks to score with a jab to the body but Fagan is just out of range.
Fagan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lieu but Lieu pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Lieu misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Fagan fails with a takedown attempt.
Jin Lieu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joey Fagan.
Fagan takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Fagan looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Lieu cracks Fagan with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Joey Fagan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lieu scores with a jab to the body.
Lieu works the jab nicely.
Fagan fails to land the takedown.
Lieu stuffs the takedown.
Jin Lieu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lieu scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Fagan looks gassed!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lieu throws the left hand but Fagan avoids the punch easily.
Lieu pushes Fagan up against the cage in a clinch.
A nice left hand lands by Lieu.

Lieu working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Lieu lands a shoulder strike.
Lieu stalling in the clinch but Fagan improves position.

Lieu is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Fagan is defending well for now.
Lieu tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Fagan goes for a takedown attempt but Lieu pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Fagan takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Fagan is rocked!
Lieu tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fagan paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Fagan fails with a takedown attempt.
Fagan slips a straight right by Lieu.

Lieu misses with an uppercut. Fagan saw that one coming.
Lieu tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Fagan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Lieu is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Fagan.
Lieu takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Fagan is trying desperately to land a takedown but Lieu is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Fagan.
Lieu thows a body shot but no joy.
Fagan shoots and misses
and Lieu counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Fagan misses with a combination
and Lieu counters with a thumping low kick.
A lazy left from Lieu finds it's target.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lieu has taken the fight to the clinch.

A short right hand to the side of the head by Lieu.
Lieu lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Fagan or not.
Fagan is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Lieu presses Fagan against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Lieu lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Fagan backwards.
Lieu lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Lieu lands with a short shot to the head.
A shot in the inside from Lieu.
Fagan is still on wobbly legs! Can Lieu finish him?
Lieu stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Fagan seems to have recovered his senses.
Lieu scores with a nice hook to the head.
Come on Lieu - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Lieu creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Fagan's defenses.
Still in the clinch, Lieu scores with a nice short uppercut.
Lieu has Fagan pressed against the cage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Lieu works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
A short uppercut from Lieu.
Lieu lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Lieu prevents the takedown attempt.
Lieu lands a shoulder strike.
Lieu throws a big uppercut that drops Fagan! More strikes from Lieu and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Fagan lies dazed against the cage as Lieu celebrates with his cornermen!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jin Lieu!
Jin Lieu retains his lightweight title!
