Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Double Bagger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lucas Park! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Alexandre Firmino and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Park shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bagger sprawls well. Bagger wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Park gets slowly back to his feet. Bagger looks to score with a jab to the body but Park is just out of range. Park fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Bagger to the ground. Park is now in Bagger's guard. Bagger trying to control the position.
Park controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Park lands a couple of decent looking shots. Park is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Park loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Park slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Park is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Park cracks Bagger with a solid left hand. Bagger trying to keep a closed guard but Park is proving a slippery customer.
Park won't allow Bagger to get back to his feet. Bagger is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Park lands a couple of digs. Bagger knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Park on the ground. Park drops back looking for a leg! Bagger is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bagger manages to kick Park off! Park jumps back into Bagger's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Park pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bagger is keeping the position for now. Park lands a couple of elbows. Bagger not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Bagger is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Park landing some decent shots from guard. Park landing some decent shots from guard. Park distracts Bagger with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Park looking to pass the guard. Park makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Park postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Bagger controls Park momentarily but Park frees himself. Park thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Park trying to control the position from guard on top but Bagger is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Park advances to half guard. Park is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bagger doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Park. Bagger on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Bagger wants to get back to his feet.
Park is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Park is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Park seems to be looking for submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Park seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Park not landing any meaningful shots this time. Bagger is trying to stand.
Bagger tries to get to full guard but Park has control of the leg. Park is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Park is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Bagger is trying to control but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Park is looking for a kimura here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Park moves into full mount! Bagger won't be happy about that! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lucas Park dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Park misses with a takedown attempt - Bagger sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Park dives in and grabs Bagger's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bagger pushes down on Park's head and hops out. Bagger throws an off balance right hand
and Park counters with a single leg into guard. Bagger didn't expect that. Bagger is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Park is controlling him. Lucas Park has got the better of the ground game so far. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Park's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Park stands up over Bagger, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Park thows a big elbow that misses. Bagger wants to sweep but no luck. Park tries to free his leg and advance position but Bagger is retaining full guard. Park pushes down on Bagger's leg and manages to get into half guard. Park trying to control the pace. Park seems to be working for a kimura but Bagger defends the submission attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bagger wants to control but Park is keeping busy.
Park wants to pass the guard but Bagger is defending well. Park is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Bagger has managed to free his arm - good work. Park is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Bagger trying to control here.
