Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Renars Stunza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rickson Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rua is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: drop the world. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua closes the distance and clinches up with Stunza, looking for a takedown. Rua pushes Stunza against the cage but Stunza circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Renars Stunza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stunza misses with a body punch
and Rua counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Rua pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stunza is keeping the position for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rua is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Rua drops back looking for a leg! Stunza is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Stunza manages to kick Rua off! Rua jumps back into Stunza's guard.
Stunza is looking to stand up but Rua isn't so interested in that idea.

Rua is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Stunza is looking to stand up but Rua isn't so interested in that idea.

Stunza knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rua on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Stunza is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Rua asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Rua is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Stunza looks calm but he's in trouble here. Rua gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Stunza is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Rua lets go of the hold and Stunza can pop his arm back in it's socket.
