The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Eddie Farnsworth and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Staton throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck McAlister on the side of the head.
McAlister misses with a right hand
and Staton counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
McAlister connects with a leg kick. Staton looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
McAlister tries to clinch up but Staton circles away and keeps his distance.
McAlister takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Staton moves into the clinch successfully.
Staton pushes McAlister back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Staton lands a strong strike to the head of McAlister. That's dazed him! Staton looking to finish here. McAlister is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Staton lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
