Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tiago Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Harrington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tiago Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harrington darts in trying to clinch
and Silva counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Silva moves nicely into side control.

Silva working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Silva thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Silva throws a strike aimed at the side of Harrington's head but Harrington avoids it well.
Silva connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Harrington some visible discomfort.

The referee asks Silva politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Silva prefers to stall for the moment though.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Harrington can do anything to dispel that myth.
Silva tries to score with some ground and pound. Harrington controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Silva decides to stand back up. Silva steps back and let's Harrington get back to his feet.
Silva shoots in for a takedown but Harrington shows good takedown defense.

and Silva decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Harrington's guard.
Silva tries to free his leg and advance position but Harrington is retaining full guard.
Silva is pushing down on Harrington's leg trying to pass to half guard. Harrington is fighting to maintain full guard but Silva has managed to sneak the leg through.
Silva stands up and beckons Harrington to join him on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Harrington wants to clinch up but Silva keeps it at a distance.

and Silva counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Silva.
Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Harrington swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Harrington wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Harrington is staying active underneath Silva, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Silva thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Harrington's head.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Well, if Silva is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

and Silva counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Silva.

Silva stands and steps away. Harrington gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

so Silva counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Silva drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Harrington manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Silva has Harrington in his guard.
Silva is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Harrington is aware though and is defending well.

Silva working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Harrington doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Harrington manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Harrington must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Silva looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Harrington has picked Silva up and slammed him! Silva can't keep hold of the triangle and Harrington manages to pass to side control!
Silva tries to bench press Harrington off him but Harrington keeps the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Harrington in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Silva in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Harrington tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Silva!
