Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Suk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kurt Suk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Travis Riley!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Nard Betker and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riley connects with a body shot that sends Suk's belly button to the back.
Riley throws a right hand that misses
and Suk makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Riley really felt that one!
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
A low kick from Suk is predictable there
and Riley counters with a straight right hand.
Riley connects with a single shot there.
Riley misses with a hook
and Suk counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Riley avoids the head kick by Suk.
Suk lands with a thumping leg kick.

Riley lands a nice looking body shot.
Travis Riley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Suk scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Sloppy strikes from Riley. Those never looked like landing.
Riley closes the distance and clinches up with Suk, looking for a takedown. Riley pushes Suk against the cage but Suk circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Riley counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Suk pivots, looking for a leg kick but Riley is out of range and Suk settles back down.
Suk showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Riley.
Riley ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Suk moves away.
Riley misses with a hook
and Suk counters with a low kick, right behind Riley 's knee.

A punch combination from Riley misses.
Riley tries to clinch but Suk moves out of range.
Suk throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Riley sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Riley avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Suk takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Suk chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Suk throws a lazy head kick
and Riley counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Riley avoids the head kick by Suk.
Riley throws out a powerful jab.


It looks like Kurt Suk has been cut.
Suk blocks a low kick nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Travis Riley dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Kurt Suk's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Suk throws a sloppy head kick and Riley moves out of range easily.
Riley throws a big shot that misses.
Riley moves out of range of the body kick from Suk.
Riley checks a low kick from Suk.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Suk misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Riley counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Riley changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Suk tries to avoid it but Riley manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Suk to the ground. Suk escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Suk with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Kurt Suk is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Riley takes a swing at Suk's ribcage but misses.
Riley misses with a series of wild punches.
Riley shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Suk defends it nicely.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Riley misses with a leg kick
and Suk cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Suk uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Riley.
Riley dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Suk has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Riley.
Riley moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Riley misses with a body kick.
Suk misses with a kick to the body
and Riley counters with a left and a right that stings Suk.
Riley throws a predictable looking body shot
and Suk counters with a nice kick to the body.
Suk throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Riley counters with a stiff right hand.
Riley throws a right hand that misses
and Suk counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Riley scoring well with a low kick there.
Riley misses with a hook
and Suk counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Riley thumps Suk with a low kick.
Good leg kick by Suk there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Travis Riley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Kurt Suk's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Riley connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Riley throws an off balance right hand
and Suk counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Suk throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Riley stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
A nice inside leg kick there by Suk. That's going to slow Riley down.
Riley digs a good body shot into Suk's ribs.

Riley misses with an uppercut
and Suk counters with a nice kick to the body.
Riley misses with a body punch
and Suk counters with a head kick. That will keep Riley thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Suk slips a jab and a cross from Riley.
Suk lands a leg kick that knocks Riley off balance momentarily.
Riley misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Suk.

Suk motions for Riley to come forward. Suk throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Nice defenses there by Suk.
Suk scores with a nice right hand.
Travis Riley is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Suk slips under a jab from Riley.
Suk feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Riley's calf.

Riley throws a leg kick that is checked
and Suk counters with a nice leg kick.
Riley connects with a body shot.
Kurt Suk is winning the standup battle so far.
Riley shoots in looking for a takedown. Suk tries to sprawl out of it but Riley keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Suk manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Suk moves forwards but Riley connects with a nice, crisp jab.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Riley tries to clinch up but Suk circles away and keeps his distance.
Kurt Suk has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Riley throws a combination that misses
and Suk counters with a nice low kick that buckles Riley's knee momentarily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Riley counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Suk counters with a leg kick.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kurt Suk showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Riley has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
