Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Renato Cardoso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trevor Culver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cardoso's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Samba de Janeiro. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cardoso tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Culver counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Cardoso is trying to keep Culver in close.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cardoso is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Culver can do anything to dispel that myth.
Cardoso trying to mount his opponent but Culver defends it.
Culver keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Culver wants to get back to full guard.
Culver is trying to control Cardoso's posture. Cardoso takes advantage of the lull and advances to side control. He also appears to have an arm triangle here! Uh oh, big trouble for Culver! Cardoso is rotating here... this could be the end... Culver is out! Cardoso has ended this one emphatically! Great submission!
