Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Grant Thomas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chris Hansen! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hansen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Hansen ducks under a wild hook from Thomas. Thomas thows a body shot but no joy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hansen tests Thomas's chin there with a solid looking shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thomas rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
enabling Hansen to counter with a crisp jab. Thomas loads up on a big right hand but Hansen slips the punch. Thomas looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Hansen throws a poor cross that misses
and Thomas counters with a lovely shot to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Thomas bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
It looks like Chris Hansen has been cut. Hansen fails miserably with a takedown attempt. The fight stays on the outside here - Thomas looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thomas tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hansen swats him away and circles back towards the center. Thomas misses with a hook. Thomas misses with an uppercut
and Hansen makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hansen looks to score with a jab to the body but Thomas is just out of range. Thomas swings for the body but Hansen moves out of range.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hansen waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Thomas. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Chris Hansen will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Chris Hansen's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Thomas looks to throw the jab but Hansen is out of range. Thomas throws a sloppy body shot
and Hansen counters with a takedown into side control. Thomas is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Hansen asserts his dominance and retains side control. Sloppy strikes there by Hansen.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hansen working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Hansen trying to control the position but Thomas is working away. Thomas is trying to get back to his feet. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Hansen throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Hansen sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Thomas is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Thomas on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Thomas tries to get out of the position. Thomas is not content to let Hansen control the position. Hansen with the ground and pound but Thomas regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hansen is pressing down on Thomas's thigh, looking to free his foot. Thomas is holding on for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Chris Hansen was stalling too much, according to the referee. Thomas wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Thomas uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hansen. Hansen throws a body punch but Thomas moves out of range. Thomas misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hansen.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hansen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Hansen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Chris Hansen's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Thomas tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hansen was well out of range. Poor timing from Thomas. Thomas lands with a good body shot. Hansen misses with a telegraphed body shot

That's one minute gone in the round. Thomas throws a hook but Hansen avoids it easily. Hansen moves out of range of the strikes. Hansen scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Hansen shoots for a takedown but Thomas saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Thomas throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Thomas rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Hansen counters with a right hand to the body. Hansen misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Thomas counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hansen bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Hansen's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Thomas connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Hansen scrambles back to his feet. Hansen uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Thomas.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hansen misses with a body punch
and Hansen takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Hansen slips a jab from Thomas. Grant Thomas has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Hansen misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Thomas.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Thomas throws the left hand but Hansen avoids the punch easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Grant Thomas showed his dominance in that final round. I think Hansen has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
