Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Plo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kimbo Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Plo comes to the cage accompanied by ISIS - Grinning Mouths. Nelson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Step into a world - KRS One. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Plo is defended easily by Nelson.
Nelson throws a leg kick
and Plo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Nelson misses with a wild body shot.
Plo circles away from the clinch attempt
and Nelson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nelson lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Nelson attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Nelson throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Plo shoots for a takedown but Nelson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nelson thows a leg kick but Plo checks it
and Plo counters with a stiff right hand.
Kimbo Nelson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nelson throws a quick inside leg kick.
Plo looks to throw the jab but Nelson is out of range.
Plo darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Nelson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Plo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Nelson.

Nelson tries to close the distance and clinch but Plo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Nelson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Nelson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Plo counter with a right hand.
Nelson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Nelson misses with a hook.
Nelson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Plos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Plo is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Nelson attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Nelson tries to work over Plo's front leg with a kick but Plo checks it.
Nelson tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Plo counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Nelson thinking.

Nelson throws a head kick that misses.
Nelson throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Nelson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A looping hook to the body misses from Plo. Nelson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Plo scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Nelson throws a leg kick but Plo sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Nelson tried to score with a low kick but Plo checks it.
Nelson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Plo sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Nelson misses with a hook.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

and Nelson makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Kimbo Nelson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Plo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Nelson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Plo.

Nelson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Plo.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
A big right from Plo misses.
Plo shoots in for a takedown but Nelson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Nelson wants to clinch
and Plo counters with a takedown into side control.
Plo in side control, throwing shots but Nelson defends.
Plo fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Nelson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Plo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Plo tries to score with some ground and pound. Nelson controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Plo misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Plo throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Nelson works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
