PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rach Trask (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tau Fang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trask's entrance music is "Inner Light" by Schocking Lemon. A fine choice. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rach Trask! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tau Fang! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trask misses with a lunging right hand
and Fang counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Rach Trask has been cut. Fang is looking to clinch but Trask is avoiding it.
Trask misses the shot to the body. Fang connects with a crisp jab. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Trask scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Trask cracks the inside of Fang's front leg. Fang keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Trask. Fang does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Trask misses with a two punch combination.
Fang takes one on the button. Fang takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Fang looks to throw the jab but Trask is out of range. Trask jabbing away but nothing is landing. Trask just misses with a punch to the body.
Fang ducks under a wild hook from Trask. Trask avoids a kick to the body.
Trask lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fang circles away quickly and effectively. Fang is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Trask. Fang takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Trask misses with a left hand and Fang counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trask lands with a straight right. Fang didn't see that one coming. Fang takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Tau Fang has been cut. A chopping leg kick lands by Trask. Fang looks gassed! Trask checks a leg kick nicely. Trask throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Fang takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Fang on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Trask lands a nice hook to Fang's body. Fang takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Trask scores with a punch to the head. A nice inside leg kick there by Trask. That's going to slow Fang down. Trask scores with a decent looking hook.
Fang is rocked! Trask wobbles Fang with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Trask dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Fang to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Rach Trask!
