Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marcus Camillus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Harry Hammer! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Camillus moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Camillus connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Hammer fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Camillus scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Hammer takes one to the chin there. Hammer throws a body punch but Camillus moves out of range. Camillus throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Camillus misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Camillus buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Camillus lands with a thumping leg kick.
Camillus fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Hammer. Camillus scores with a head kick. Hammer tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. A good leg kick by Camillus. Camillus lands a head kick!
Camillus looks to clinch letting Hammer counter with a right hand. Camillus moves out of range of the strikes. Camillus slaps away a takedown attempt from Hammer, before circling back to the center of the mat. Camillus fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Camillus lands a nice leg kick that just misses Hammer's sensitive parts. Camillus throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Camillus throws a head kick that misses. Hammer dives in and grabs Camillus's left leg, looking for a takedown. Camillus pushes down on Hammer's head and hops out. Marcus Camillus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harry Hammer. Hammer on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Hammer tries for a takedown but Camillus circles away easily and Camillus counters with a straight right hand. Hammer looks gassed!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Camillus lands a jab to Hammer's midsection. Camillus scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Camillus lands with a thumping leg kick.
Camillus lands a leg kick that knocks Hammer off balance momentarily. Hammer steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Camillus. That one must have hurt. This has been an exciting period of action! Camillus sizes up Hammer with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Marcus Camillus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Camillus throws a powerful right kick. Hammer tried to block low but the kick was high! Hammer was taken right off of his feet! Camillus jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
