Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Binky Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Myers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barnes comes into the arena with Burn This City blaring out of the sound system. James Myers has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Binky Barnes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Myers!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Myers throws a lazy right hand but Barnes sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Binky Barnes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Myers gets tackled into the cage by Barnes. Barnes maintains the clinch.
Myers is looking to control Barnes's arms but Barnes gets an underhook and turns him. Now Myers has his back to the cage.
Barnes goes for a takedown in the clinch but Myers prevents it.
Barnes has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Myers is trying to push Barnes away but Barnes has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Barnes pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Myers missing with a left hand there. Barnes was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Myers throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Barnes counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Myers!
Barnes can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Myers is looking to escape.
Barnes controlling the position easily from mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Barnes throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Barnes controlling the pace for now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Binky Barnes.
Myers tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Myers shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Barnes as he jumps to the side.

Barnes gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Barnes manages to break the clinch.
Myers needs to keep his hands up - Barnes had a free shot at his head there.
Barnes misses with a looping right.
Myers looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Myers defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Barnes.
Myers waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Barnes.
Barnes throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Myers takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Myers shoots in but no luck this time.
Barnes swinging wildly here.
Myers fails to land the takedown.
Binky Barnes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Myers.
Barnes keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Barnes moves into range and connects with a jab.
Myers lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Barnes cracks a nice hook into Myers's ribs.
Myers looks gassed!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Barnes lands a right hook to the body.
Some bone on bone action there as Myers checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Barnes lands a slapping body shot.
Barnes shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Myers sprawls well. Myers wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Barnes gets slowly back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Binky Barnes dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Barnes clinches up with Myers and pushes him back against the cage.

Barnes's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Barnes is looking to score with low kicks.
Barnes throws a shot from downtown. Myers moves away and avoids it.
Barnes fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Myers misses with a straight left.
Barnes stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Myers ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Barnes moves away.
Myers fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Myers thows a left - swing and a miss!
Barnes cracks Myers with a right hand to the side of the head.


Myers is rocked!


It looks like James Myers has been cut.
Barnes batters Myers with a massive right followed by a huge left! Myers is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Barnes lands a final crushing right hand to drop Myers to the mat with a gruesome thud! Barnes is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Binky Barnes!
