The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Alito counters with a lovely straight right hand!

and Alito moves into the clinch.
Heysel wants a takedown.

Heysel takes an elbow to the temple.

It looks like Heysel Heysel has been cut.
Alito lands an elbow inside that Heysel shrugs off.
Heysel tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Alito just stands there and leans against the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Alito.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Alito creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Alito lands a body shot.
Alito lands a right hand that snaps the head of Heysel backwards.
A right hook to the body lands for Alito.
Alito scores with a shoulder strike.

Alito's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Heysel takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Alito lands with a thumping leg kick.
Heysel takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Alito keeps Heysel at a distance using the push kick.
Heysel takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Alito throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Alito digs a right hand underneath Heysel's ribcage. Heysel let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Alito manages to break the clinch.

Heysel gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Alito.
Heysel takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Alito fakes the leg kick and cracks Heysel in the body.
Alito lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Alito comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Alito scores with a three punch combo!

Oh Heysel is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Heysel loses concentration momentarily and Alito pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Heysel crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Alito finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
