Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Villefordt fails with a takedown attempt.
Nesse swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Nesse tries to clinch but Villefordt moves out of range.

Nesse wants to control from the top but Villefordt keeps moving.
Villefordt escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nesse gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Nesse passes Villefordt's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Nesse wants to lay and pray for a moment but Villefordt keeps working.

Nesse slips a nice elbow through Villefordt's hands, connecting with Villefordt's forehead.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Nesse is looking to take a break and control but Villefordt is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The is referee keeping an eye on Villefordt - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Villefordt escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Villefordt throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nesse's waist but Nesse gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Villefordt off to one side.

Villefordt moves in looking to clinch but Nesse pushes him off.
Nesse scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Nesse tries to bum rush Villefordt with a series of wild strikes but Villefordt uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Villefordt changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nesse tries to avoid it but Villefordt manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nesse to the ground. Nesse escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Nesse moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nesse shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Villefordt pinned against the cage. Villefordt gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Nesse tries to clinch up but Villefordt circles away and keeps his distance.
