Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Leslie Morrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morrow comes to the cage accompanied by In The Air Tonight. Jim Rogers struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.0lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Jim Rogers has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Leslie Morrow's chin.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Rogers! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morrow shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Morrow was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Rogers bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Morrow looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Morrow is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Morrow tries to land a sweep but no joy. Morrow is trying to hold Rogers in close to prevent damage but Rogers has managed to pass into half guard.
Morrow tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Rogers really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Morrow. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Rogers wants to stand up but Morrow has a hold of him and won't allow it. Morrow is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Rogers jumps into side control! Morrow is trying to get back to half guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Rogers lands with a right hand. Morrow fails to land the takedown. Morrow shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Morrow showed some decent athleticism there. Morrow is breathing heavily. Morrow trying to control from Rogers's half guard. Rogers has other ideas though and has regained full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rogers keeping moving, preventing Morrow from controlling successfully. Morrow trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Morrow with a flurry of punches that miss. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Morrow accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Rogers trying to control the position.
Rogers utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Morrow pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rogers is keeping the position for now.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Morrow fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Rogers shoots in but no luck this time. Excellent takedown into side control there by Morrow. Morrow lands a nice forearm strike. Morrow in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Morrow trying to control the action but Rogers is working from the bottom. Morrow is putting a hurting on Rogers here, landing some big shots from side control. Rogers is not content to let Morrow control the position. Morrow works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Morrow thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Morrow scores with punches from side control. Morrow landing a few strikes. Morrow throwing strikes but Rogers manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Morrow misses with an elbow from the bottom. You can see the frustration on Morrow's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Rogers wants to stand but Morrow is controlling his arm. Rogers is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Morrow tries to improve position but can't. Rogers tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Morrow is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rogers lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Rogers. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Morrow fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rogers manages to avoid it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Leslie Morrow dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Morrow shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rogers as he jumps to the side. Rogers doesn't manage to clinch there - Morrow circles away.
Morrow shoots in and drives through. Rogers sprawls well. Morrow keeps the fight on the outside. Morrow shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leslie Morrow. That's going to take a lot out of him. Morrow is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Rogers's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Rogers duly obliges.
Morrow is rocked! Rogers closes the distance and clinches. Rogers wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Morrow closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rogers circles away. Morrow shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Morrow was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Morrow is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Rogers can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Rogers is still on wobbly legs! Can Morrow finish him? Morrow tries to control but Rogers wriggling away. Rogers seems to have recovered his senses. A nice elbow there by Morrow. Morrow connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Rogers tries to roll over but Morrow keeps him under control. Rogers regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Morrow. Morrow wants to control from the top but Rogers keeps moving. Rogers is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Leslie Morrow overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Morrow cracks Rogers with a solid left hand. Morrow is looking to work some ground and pound but Rogers has wrist control. Rogers is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Leslie Morrow dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Jim Rogers's cut. That's time! Morrow's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Rogers tries to clinch up. Horrible takedown by Morrow or perhaps it was just good defense by Rogers which made him look bad. Morrow shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Morrow gets the takedown into side control. Rogers defending against the ground and pound. Morrow tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Morrow has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Rogers is trying to control Morrow's posture but Morrow avoids it. Morrow prevents Rogers from escaping the position. Morrow looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Morrow cracks Rogers with a big right hand but Rogers just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Morrow has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Rogers takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morrow tries to advance to mount but can't. Morrow is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rogers knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Rogers takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Morrow has an Americana. Rogers didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Morrow is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Morrow hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
