Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Baki Mma! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Davison! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Glass and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Davison with that takedown attempt. Davison scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Davison tries for a kimura but Mma is defending well. Mma really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Mma is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mma is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Davison working the ground and pound. Davison thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Mma on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mma tries to get out of the position. Mma is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Davison is controlling him well.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Mma's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Davison scoring with punches and elbows. Davison looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Davison wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mma, who protects the arm well. Davison looks up at the clock and then as Mma takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Davison smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Davison looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Davison in side control, throwing shots but Mma defends. Davison trying to control the position but Mma is working away. Davison stands up and we're back to a striking position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Davison clinches up with Mma and pushes him back against the cage. Davison breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Mma misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mma has his takedown stuffed and Davison counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Mma's guard now. Mma is breathing heavily. Davison in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davison stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mma swivels though and keeps the full guard. Davison wants to control from the top but Mma keeps moving. Davison postures up in Mma's guard and throws a big left but Mma blocks it. Mma knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Davison on the ground. Davison wants to control from the top but Mma keeps moving. Davison advances to half guard. Mma is in trouble now - Davison has advanced to mount! Davison is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Davison!
