The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blues tries a head kick but it misses.
Blues takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Storm slips a straight right by Blues. Blues has a takedown stuffed. Blues shoots in and drives through. Storm sprawls well. Storm avoids the body shot from Blues.
Storm misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Blues counters with a lovely shot to the body. Storm misses the shot to the body. Blues fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Blues. That's going to take a lot out of him. Storm uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Blues. Storm throws a big shot that misses. Storm lands with a nice body punch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Blues tries a head kick but it misses.

A frustrated look appears on Blues's face as he tries to break the clinch. Storm misses with a punch to the body.
Blues has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Blues is trying to force a seperation but Storm has the dominant position. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Storm tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Storm turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Blues is trying to get back to half guard. Storm taking a breather here. Blues takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Blues is looking to regain half guard here but Storm keeps moving and retains side control. Blues is not content to let Storm control the position. Storm lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Blues is not content to let Storm control the position. Storm remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Storm is looking to take a break and control but Blues is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Storm working the head and body with strikes. Storm scores with punches from side control. Storm controls the position. Blues takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Blues is rocked! A big shot lands for Storm! That's hurt Blues! Will he recover? Storm fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
