Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Arthur Rexum!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Iceman Liddell!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Patrick Alders and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, jab by Liddell - just one landing.
Rexum shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Liddell but Liddell pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Rexum fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Rexum misses with a double jab.
Liddell wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Rexum is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Liddell misses with a series of wild punches.
Liddell with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Liddell sends Rexum crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Liddell is motioning to the referee to let Rexum up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Rexum is rocked!
It looks like Arthur Rexum has been cut.
Liddell dances in with a quick combination. Rexum is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Liddell snaps Rexum's head back. Rexum stumbles backwards against the cage. Liddell steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Rexum's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Rexum just didn't come prepared.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Iceman Liddell!
