Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clams Casino!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Layon!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Casino misses with the combination.
Casino throws a head kick that misses.
Casino fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Casino circles away from the clinch attempt
and Casino counters with a three punch combo that has Layon backing up. Layon nods at Casino to acknowledge the strikes.
Layon is rocked!

Clams Casino seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A nice inside leg kick there by Casino. That's going to slow Layon down.
Layon looks gassed!
Casino buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Layon on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Casino stuns Layon with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Casino dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Casino throws a right and a left that both miss.
Casino swinging wildly here.
Casino lands a nice hook to Layon's body. Layon takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round.

Layon takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Casino throws a combination. Layon tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Casino lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Clams Casino is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Layon checks a leg kick nicely.
Casino with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Casino throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Layon's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Casino dives in looking to finish as Layon flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Casino's strikes! Casino is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Layon's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Layon was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Clams Casino!
