Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Relentless AD (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piston Hurricane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Relentless AD! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Piston Hurricane! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hurricane closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. AD did well to prevent Hurricane getting side control. Hurricane is taking a breather. AD says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. AD wants to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hurricane takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Hurricane is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Hurricane is controlling the pace.
AD controlling the position well. Hurricane is taking a breather. AD says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. AD has his takedown stuffed and Hurricane decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in AD's guard. Hurricane slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. AD working a defensive guard here.
Hurricane forces his way into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. AD blocking the ground and pound attempt from Hurricane. Still in half guard, Hurricane seems content to control.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Piston Hurricane wasn't active enough on the ground. Hurricane clinches up against the cage. AD jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hurricane walks away with a smile on his face. AD gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Hurricane closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming AD to the mat! AD manages to get full guard. Hurricane controlling from the top position. Hurricane advances to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. AD trying to control here.
Hurricane is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. AD throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Piston Hurricane dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Hurricane closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Hurricane is trying to control. AD wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Hurricane is pressing down on AD's thigh, looking to free his foot. AD is holding on for now. Still in half guard, Hurricane seems content to control. Hurricane is thwarting AD's attempts to control the position. Hurricane seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Piston Hurricane was stalling too much, according to the referee. Hurricane feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. AD not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hurricane drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and AD dives on top into guard. Hurricane is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Let's hope that Hurricane has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Hurricane tries to strike from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hurricane pulls AD in to control the position. Hurricane is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hurricane managing to control the position. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Piston Hurricane hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Hurricane rushes AD and presses him up against the cage. Hurricane doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
AD misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Hurricane.
AD throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Hurricane blocks it with crossed arms. Hurricane lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hurricane is pressing down on AD's thigh, looking to free his foot. AD is holding on for now. AD wants to control but Hurricane is keeping busy.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Piston Hurricane wasn't active enough on the ground. Hurricane closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hurricane lands in his opponent's guard. Hurricane wants to pass the guard but AD is keeping the position. Hurricane trying to control the position from guard on top but AD is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hurricane is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. AD looking to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Piston Hurricane showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Hurricane gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and AD counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Hurricane trying to control the position here. Hurricane keeping full guard, as AD tries to pass. Hurricane tries to land a sweep but no joy. AD is fighting to break Hurricane's control of his arms but Hurricane is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Hurricane can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as AD controls the pace. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. AD tries for a takedown but Hurricane circles away easily and Hurricane counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hurricane. Hurricane trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hurricane is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Piston Hurricane has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Hurricane shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hurricane showed some decent athleticism there. AD manages to get to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. AD is pulling down on Hurricane's head to control his posture. Hurricane controlling from the top position.

And that's the end of the fight! Piston Hurricane comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hurricane has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
