MacLain has chosen Drowning Pool - Bodies (Let The Bodies Hit The Floor as his entrance music. Shane MacLain has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacLain shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rutabega sprawls well. Rutabega wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. MacLain gets slowly back to his feet.

Rutabega goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

and MacLain counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
MacLain lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
MacLain is stalling here. Rutabega is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! MacLain seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Rutabega has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
MacLain tries to get back to half guard but can't.
MacLain is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

MacLain tries to buck Rutabega off but Rutabega is having none of it.

Rutabega decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Rutabega misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
MacLain shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rutabega but Rutabega pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Fennil Rutabega has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shane MacLain.

MacLain throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rutabega's waist but Rutabega gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing MacLain off to one side.

MacLain takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
MacLain looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

MacLain is rocked!
Rutabega throws a right hand that MacLain ducks under and follows up with a left that MacLain also avoids with ease.

Rutabega throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
MacLain seems to have recovered his senses.
MacLain is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rutabega sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Rutabega rushes MacLain with punches - MacLain moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, MacLain goes down! Rutabega follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
