Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mauro Gomes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kung Lai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gomes comes to the cage accompanied by Body Count - Necessary Evil. Lai is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: KoRn - Twisted Transistor. Gomes is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Kung Lai has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lai tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Gomes is able to avoid easily.
Gomes is breathing heavily.

Lai tries to clinch up but Gomes circles away and keeps his distance.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Gomes might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Lai. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Well Lai has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
