The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie shoots in for a double leg but Rammell sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Rammell throws an off balance right hand
and Gracie counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Leroy Rammell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rammell throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Gracie counters with a right hand to the body.
Rammell swings widly with a right hand
enabling Gracie to counter with a crisp jab.
Gracie throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rammell sees it coming and avoids it easily.

and Gracie counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Rammell misses with a left hand
and Rammell takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Gracie counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Rammell rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Gracie counters with a straight right hand.
Rammell throws a lazy uppercut
and Gracie connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

A solid leg kick lands there for Rammell.
Gracie shoots in but Rammell avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Gracie takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Rammell throws a sloppy body shot
and Gracie counters with a straight right hand.

and Rammell takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Rammell misses with a hook
and Gracie counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Rammell misses the body punch
and Gracie counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Rammell!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gracie working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Rammell turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Gracie off and cradles Rammell's limp body as Gracie celebrates with his corner.
