Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jussi Ekdahl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oakley Bark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ekdahl kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Duck Sauce. Bark is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by shut em down. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jussi Ekdahl! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Oakley Bark! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Valeri Chadov and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ekdahl shoots and misses and Bark counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ekdahl won't be happy with that. Ekdahl gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Bark working for a submission but Ekdahl is keeping him at bay. Bark has control of Ekdahl's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Ekdahl regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Bark throwing strikes here but Ekdahl is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Bark has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. A nice elbow there by Bark. Ekdahl keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ekdahl is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Bark is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Ekdahl has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Ekdahl! Ekdahl has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Bark had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ekdahl defends it easily. Bark looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Ekdahl drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bark looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bark looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bark!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bark wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ekdahl, who protects the arm well. Bark tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. The strikes coming from Bark are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Bark is trying to get an arm triangle but Ekdahl is defending well. Bark is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ekdahl is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ekdahl tries to bench press Bark off him but Bark keeps the position. Ekdahl is working hard here to advance position. Ekdahl can't do much from the bottom here. Ekdahl prevents Bark from moving into mount. Bark is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ekdahl knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Bark working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Bark tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Ekdahl can't do much from the bottom here. Bark is looking to take a break and control but Ekdahl is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Oakley Bark dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Ekdahl stuffs the takedown. Ekdahl drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bark struggling a bit here. Bark manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Bark is trying to control the action in half guard but Ekdahl is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Ekdahl avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bark.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bark is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ekdahl defends it well. Bark stalling away here and it's allowed Ekdahl to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Bark won't allow Ekdahl to sweep him here. Bark slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Bark tries to score with some ground and pound. Ekdahl controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ekdahl is looking for a sweep. Bark working the head and body with strikes. Ekdahl tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bark working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Bark swings around for an armbar but Ekdahl sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Bark's guard. Bark lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Ekdahl! Bark has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ekdahl's face.
Ekdahl tries to reverse the position but Bark maintains control. Bark is in the full mount, landing strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bark lands a heavy elbow. Bark raining down hammerfists from mount. Bark breaks from Ekdahl's wrist control and lands an elbow. Bark looking to ground and pound but Ekdahl is blocking nicely. BOOM! Bark connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bark landing strikes from the mount. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bark is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Ekdahl has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Bark jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Ekdahl manages to avoid the submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bark lands a decent elbow from side control. Bark tries for a kimura but Ekdahl is defending well. Ekdahl prevents Bark from moving into mount. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The strikes coming from Bark are missing the target in this wave of attacks. An elbow from Bark crashes against the mat.
Bark cracks Ekdahl with a big right hand but Ekdahl just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Oakley Bark showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Ekdahl's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

He's shot a load of snot all down Bark's shoulder. That is not cool. The strikes coming from Ekdahl are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Ekdahl misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

That's one minute gone in the round. Bark prevents Ekdahl from moving into mount. Bark is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Ekdahl tries to move to mount but Bark blocks the move with his legs. Ekdahl wants to control for a moment but Bark uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Ekdahl tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bark knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Oakley Bark has got the better of the ground game so far. Ekdahl is looking to take a break and control but Bark is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Bark has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ekdahl is working away from the top position though.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Bark misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Oakley Bark is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ekdahl gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Bark counters with a straight right hand. Ekdahl shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bark is trying to defend but Ekdahl finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Ekdahl looks to land a strike but Bark avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Bark escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ekdahl gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Bark keeping moving, preventing Ekdahl from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bark working for a triangle but Ekdahl defends it easily.

Jussi Ekdahl has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ekdahl stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bark swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Jussi Ekdahl showed his dominance in that final round. Well Bark has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
