Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lincoln Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas Emmanuel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lincoln Thomas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lucas Emmanuel! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thomas throws a nice head kick!
A combination from Thomas does no damage. Thomas drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Emmanuel is looking to reverse the position. Emmanuel manages to get back to half guard. Emmanuel trying to hold on to Thomas's head to control him but Thomas postures up.
Thomas working Emmanuel over with strikes. Thomas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Thomas seems to be working for a kimura but Emmanuel defends the submission attempt. Thomas prevents Emmanuel from improving his position. Thomas is pressing down on Emmanuel's thigh, looking to free his foot. Emmanuel is holding on for now. Thomas is looking to take a break and control but Emmanuel is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Thomas is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thomas wants to control but Emmanuel is keeping him busy. Thomas looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Thomas missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Emmanuel is defending against the submission attempts here by Thomas.
Thomas decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Thomas is breathing heavily. Emmanuel tries to close the distance and clinch but Thomas swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Emmanuel tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Emmanuel doesn't manage to clinch there - Thomas circles away.
Thomas fails with the takedown. Emmanuel tries to close the distance and clinch but Thomas swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Emmanuel shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Thomas as he avoids it easily. Emmanuel keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Emmanuel throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Thomas keeps the fight on the outside. Thomas blocks a head kick by Emmanuel.
Emmanuel shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Thomas counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Thomas wants to pass the guard but Emmanuel is defending well. Emmanuel flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Emmanuel is trying to get back to full guard. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Thomas looks to land a strike but Emmanuel avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Emmanuel trying to keep a closed guard but Thomas is proving a slippery customer.
Emmanuel can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Thomas controls the pace. Thomas is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Thomas preventing the sweep.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Emmanuel tries to clinch there but Thomas circles away.
Thomas darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Thomas prevents Emmanuel from improving his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Thomas is tying to control. Emmanuel wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Thomas has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Emmanuel defend it? Thomas steps over the head and cranks it - Emmanuel is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Thomas!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Lincoln Thomas!
