Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ryan Gooze!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gooze rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Q counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Gooze thinking.
Gooze throws an off balance right hand
and Q counters with a stiff right hand.
Gooze throws a looping overhand right but Q ducks down to avoid it.
Gooze shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Q counters with a single leg into guard. Gooze didn't expect that.
Q is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Gooze is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Gooze misses with a head shot. Q uses the momentum to regain guard.
Q utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Gooze distracts Q with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

and Q counters with a good, hard body kick but Gooze shrugs it off.

Q misses with a wild combination.
Gooze lands a nice shot that snaps Q's head back.
Gooze displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Q throws out the jab.
Gooze tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Q counters with a one-two to the body.
Gooze lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Q scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Ryan Gooze seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gooze closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gooze lands in his opponent's guard.

and Q counters with a left and a right that stings Gooze.

Q prevents Gooze from getting back to his feet.

Q passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Q content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Gooze wants to control but Q postures up.
Q is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Gooze's shoulder. That is not cool.

Q stands up and beckons Gooze to his feet.

and Q counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Nathin Q has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Gooze.
Q wants to control from the top but Gooze keeps moving.

Gooze wants to clinch but Q slips to the side
and Q counters with a straight right hand.

Gooze looks to score with a jab to the body but Q is just out of range.

Q is taking a breather. Gooze says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Nathin Q has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Ryan Gooze is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Q is working for a kimura but Gooze is defending it quite comfortably.
