Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chris Bertram (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hall has chosen I won't go down without a fight as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Bertram! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aaron Hall! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bertram misses with a body shot.
Hall swats away the attempt to clinch by Bertram. Bertram tries to land a front kick but Hall steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Hall swats away the attempt to clinch by Bertram. Bertram could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Hall looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Bertram lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Bertram avoids a wild elbow strike from Hall. Bertram leaning his opponent against the ropes. Bertram trying to land knees to the body.
Bertram gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Bertram is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Hall is defending well for now. Hall avoiding damage as Bertram throws knees to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hall wants to sweep but no luck. Bertram looking to sit in guard and control but Hall gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Bertram is trying to keep Hall in close.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Hall loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Bertram working a defensive guard here.
Hall has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hall accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Bertram avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Bertram wants to stand up but Hall is controlling him. Hall is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Hall looking to pass the guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hall gets to his feet - Bertram follows without any prompting. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bertram closes the distance but Hall moves to the side and Hall counters with a crisp one two that drops Bertram! Hall thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Bertram to his feet! Bertram is in big trouble! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hall misses with a hook.

Bertram is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Hall is defending well for now. Bertram prevents Hall from breaking the clinch. That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bertram lands a nice elbow. Hall works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Hall drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bertram pulls his leg out and moves away.

Aaron Hall showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Hall changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bertram tries to avoid it but Hall manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bertram to the ground. Bertram escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Hall wants to clinch and Bertram counters by clinching up. Bertram taking a breather. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Bertram as Hall tries to tie him up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bertram is stalling here.

Bertram is pressed up against the ropes. Hall has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bertram down to the mat. Bertram avoids the attempt though and has circled away. Hall throws a series of punches but Bertram avoids them all with ease.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hall tries to clinch but Bertram moves away and Bertram counters with a nice double leg into guard. Hall keeping moving, preventing Bertram from controlling successfully. Hall looking for a sweep. Not yet Hall, not yet. Hall trying to keep a closed guard but Bertram is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Bertram wants to stand but Hall has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Bertram might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Hall is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hall moves nicely into side control. Bertram tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Hall scores with punches from the back.
It looks like Chris Bertram has been cut. Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Hall.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hall is punishing Bertram with some ground and pound. Hall is landing with strikes. Bertram can't take much more of this. Hall softening up his opponent with strikes here.
