Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jaime Lener (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony MacDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying MacDonald's choice of entrance music: Bill Conti - Gonna Fly Now. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Anthony MacDonald! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lener scores with a hook to the body. MacDonald takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Lener fails with the takedown. MacDonald drops his hands momentarily and Lener takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Lener tries to clinch but MacDonald moves out of range. MacDonald shoots in but Lener avoids the takedown attempt easily. MacDonald drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. MacDonald pushes down on Lener's leg and manages to get into half guard. Lener on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lener tries to get out of the position. Lener blocking the ground and pound attempt from MacDonald. MacDonald wants to work for an arm triangle but Lener is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Lener thuds a left hand into MacDonald's body. Lener tries to clinch up but MacDonald circles away and keeps his distance. Lener lands a straight punch to the body, keeping MacDonald at a distance.

MacDonald on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. MacDonald shoots in and drives through. Lener sprawls well. Lener moves into range and clinches up with MacDonald. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. MacDonald doesn't succeed with the takedown and Lener cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. A jab lands there for Lener. MacDonald doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. MacDonald takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Lener lands a jab to MacDonald's midsection.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lener scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. MacDonald doesn't seem bothered though. Lener darts in and out, connecting with a jab. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lener has closed the distance and engaged MacDonald in a clinch.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Lener misses with a knee strike.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. MacDonald tries for a takedown but Lener manages to get underhooks.

MacDonald with a couple of short strikes. MacDonald manages to capitalize on a mistake by Lener to take his back! MacDonald has his arm under Lener's chin here. Game over son! MacDonald squeezes tightly and Lener is forced to tap out!
