PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bryan Fury (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuffie Kisaragi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kisaragi has chosen Bezimienni - Walka as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bryan Fury!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Yuffie Kisaragi!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Matti Vanhoillinen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fury loads up on a big right hand but Kisaragi slips the punch.

and Kisaragi counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kisaragi.

Kisaragi drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kisaragi jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kisaragi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Kisaragi drops back looking for a leg! Fury is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Fury manages to kick Kisaragi off! Kisaragi jumps back into Fury's guard.
Kisaragi wants to control from the top but Fury keeps moving.
Fury on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Fury tries to get out of the position.

Fury knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kisaragi on the ground.
Kisaragi keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Fury's head.
Kisaragi chips away with some ground and pound.

Kisaragi pushes down on Fury's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Fury avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kisaragi.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kisaragi lands a nice short elbow.
Kisaragi working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Kisaragi looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Fury with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kisaragi thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Fury's head.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Fury keeping moving, preventing Kisaragi from controlling successfully.
Kisaragi slips nicely into half guard.
Fury is trying to get back to full guard.

Yuffie Kisaragi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kisaragi is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Fury can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Yuffie Kisaragi is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Yuffie Kisaragi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Kisaragi winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
