Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, River Tam!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Karias York!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Daniel Cesar and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
York lands with a cross.
York shoots in for a takedown but Tam shows good takedown defense.
York throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tam's waist but Tam gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing York off to one side.
York tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tam sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten York somewhat.
River Tam has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Karias York.
York keeps the fight on the outside.
York shoots in but no luck this time.
Tam is looking to clinch but York is avoiding it.
York fails with a takedown attempt.
York fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
York looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Tam!
Tam on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Tam tries to get out of the position.

Tam is in all sorts of trouble here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tam takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
York lands a big shot there that rocks Tam but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Tam is rocked!
York thowing shots but they're missing.
A nice elbow there by York.
York postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Tam looks a forlorn figure.
Oh Tam is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tam looks out of his depth in this position - he's holding on tight.
Tam seems to have got his legs back now.
York with shots to the head and body - Tam looks very uncomfortable down there.
York prevents Tam from getting the reversal.
York loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Tam scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from York land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. York stands and salutes the crowd.
