Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dan Bradley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Johnsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bradley might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Ride Of The Valkyries. Jim Johnsson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dan Bradley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jim Johnsson! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Luis Engracia and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bradley digs a good hook to Johnsson's body.
Bradley with a jab. Bradley scores with a crisp jab that stopped Johnsson in his tracks. This has been an exciting period of action! Bradley moves out of range of the strikes. Bradley throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Johnsson looks gassed! Sloppy strikes from Johnsson. Those never looked like landing. Johnsson walks into a straight right hand from Bradley. A clash of legs there as Johnsson blocks the low kick. Johnsson thows a body shot but no joy. A nice inside leg kick there by Bradley. That's going to slow Johnsson down. Johnsson stuffs the takedown attempt from Bradley. Bradley gets slowly back to his feet. Johnsson checks a leg kick. Dan Bradley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bradley shoots and misses and Johnsson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Johnsson. Bradley trying to keep a closed guard but Johnsson is proving a slippery customer.
Bradley trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Bradley manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's one minute gone in the round. Bradley looking to control but Johnsson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Johnsson sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Bradley thows a huge punch but Johnsson dodges it nicely.

Bradley missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Johnsson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Bradley scoring with strikes to the body and head. Bradley sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Johnsson defending well though. Johnsson wants to control but Bradley is keeping busy and won't allow it. Bradley prevents Johnsson from improving his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bradley missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Bradley is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Bradley working the ground and pound effectively.
Bradley throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Johnsson because Bradley loaded up on that one. Johnsson is squirming around, avoiding Bradley's attempts to control the action. Bradley is landing with some decent strikes but Johnsson is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Johnsson in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Bradley tries to control but Johnsson wriggling away. Johnsson tries to lock up and control but Bradley gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnsson tries to get back to half guard but can't. Bradley is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Johnsson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Johnsson! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bradley throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Bradley is trying to control the position but Johnsson postures up. Bradley has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Johnsson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Bradley. Bradley is not content to let Johnsson control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bradley seems a little lost for a moment, as Johnsson dominates the positioning. Johnsson lands an elbow. Bradley gets back to half guard. Johnsson is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bradley actively working from the bottom here. Johnsson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dan Bradley dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Bradley misses with a left hand and Johnsson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Bradley connects with a solid leg kick. Bradley falls off balance throwing a combination
and Johnsson counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Bradley thinking. Bradley is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Bradley with a poor takedown and Johnsson counters with a lovely shot to the body. Nice cross by Bradley. A head kick misses from Bradley. Bradley lands a nice shot to the body.
Dan Bradley is winning the standup battle so far. Bradley doesn't succeed with the takedown and Johnsson counters with a stiff right hand. Bradley throws a left and a right that both miss
and Johnsson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bradley throws a low kick but Johnsson avoids it. Bradley showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Johnsson.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Johnsson misses with a wild combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bradley tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Bradley lands a jab to the nose. Dan Bradley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Johnsson looks to land a combination. Bradley sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like Dan Bradley has been cut. Johnsson throws a right hand that Bradley ducks under and follows up with a left that Bradley also avoids with ease. Johnsson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Johnsson lands with a cross. Bradley doesn't succeed with the takedown and Johnsson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Bradley is rocked! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Bradley. That's going to take a lot out of him. Johnsson closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Bradley! Johnsson dives in looking to finish! Bradley is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jim Johnsson!
