Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bill Lapointe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hank Reardon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lapointe comes to the cage accompanied by Manowar - Hail & Kill. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bill Lapointe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hank Reardon! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Steve Erwin and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reardon steps into range and cracks Lapointe with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Lapointe flops backwards and Reardon dives into his guard looking to finish!
It looks like Bill Lapointe has been cut. Lapointe wants to sweep here but Reardon controlling him for the moment. Reardon passes Lapointe's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Lapointe is trying to maintain the position but Reardon is very close to passing his half guard. Lapointe is looking for a sweep. Reardon is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lapointe is pressing down on Reardon's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Lapointe controls Reardon momentarily but Reardon frees himself. Lapointe bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Reardon's guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Reardon is on top in guard.
Reardon postures up and lands a big shot to Lapointe's brow. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Reardon wants to control from the top but Lapointe keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reardon preventing the sweep. Reardon lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Lapointe bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Reardon's guard. Reardon controls Lapointe momentarily but Lapointe frees himself. Reardon might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lapointe kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Lapointe wants to pass the guard but Reardon is keeping the position. Lapointe preventing the sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Lapointe won't allow Reardon to get back to his feet. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Reardon trying to control the position here.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Hank Reardon. Reardon swings widly with a right hand
and Lapointe counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Reardon gets back to full guard.
Reardon is pulling down on Lapointe's head to control his posture. Reardon looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Reardon is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Lapointe stops Reardon from standing up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reardon looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Reardon is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Lapointe wants to get back to full guard. Lapointe is concentrating on defense, preventing Reardon from advancing position. Lapointe is looking to improve his position.
Lapointe gets full guard. Reardon throwing strikes but missing. Reardon throwing strikes from guard but Lapointe blocks nicely. Lapointe trying to keep a closed guard but Reardon is proving a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reardon thows a big elbow that misses. Reardon with a flurry of punches that miss. Reardon trying to control the position from guard on top but Lapointe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lapointe looking for a sweep. Not yet Lapointe, not yet. Lapointe has his foot on Reardon's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Reardon works his way back into a safe position though. Lapointe preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Reardon throws a strike but Lapointe rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Lapointe stopping the sweep attempt from Reardon. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lapointe accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Reardon throws a combination that misses and Lapointe counters with a right hand to the body. Reardon throws a sloppy body shot
and Lapointe counters with a single leg into guard. Reardon didn't expect that. Lapointe preventing the sweep. Reardon is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Reardon isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Lapointe stacks Reardon on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Lapointe! Lapointe looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Reardon tries to improve position but can't. Reardon struggling a bit here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reardon tries to buck Lapointe off but Lapointe is having none of it. Reardon manages to get back to half guard. Reardon has hold of Lapointe's hands but Lapointe slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Lapointe tries to pass to full mount but Reardon defends it. Reardon trying to control here.
Reardon controlling the position for now. Reardon is trying to control but Lapointe manages to pass to mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Reardon sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Reardon moves into full guard.
Reardon wants to control the position but Lapointe says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Reardon has a hand on Lapointe's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Lapointe takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Reardon keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Lapointe scores with a couple of good head shots there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reardon is wriggling around trying to escape.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Lapointe cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Lapointe with shots to the head and body - Reardon looks very uncomfortable down there. Lapointe avoids the attempt from Reardon to control. Lapointe scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Reardon?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lapointe is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Reardon can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Reardon is trying desperately to improve position. Lapointe dominating with strikes here. Lapointe prevents Reardon from getting the reversal. Reardon is breathing heavily. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Reardon throws an off balance right hand
and Lapointe counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Reardon throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Lapointe counter with a right hand. Reardon swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Lapointe counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Lapointe fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Reardon throws a predictable looking body shot
and Lapointe counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Reardon thinking. Reardon walks into a stiff left hand from Lapointe. Lapointe throws a series of punches but Reardon avoids them all with ease. Reardon misses with a double jab
and Lapointe counters with a stiff right hand. Reardon throws a predictable looking body shot
and Lapointe connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Reardon throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Lapointe counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Donk. Lapointe catches Reardon right on the button with a cross. Reardon misses with a lunging right hand
and Lapointe counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Reardon takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Lapointe lands a really nice looking cross but Reardon seems unphased.
Lapointe is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Lapointe misses the shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reardon takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Lapointe lands a nice shot to the body.

and Reardon takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Reardon walks into a left hand. A shot to the body from Reardon misses and Lapointe counters with a nice body shot. Reardon throws a left and a right that both miss
and Lapointe cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Hank Reardon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lapointe slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Lapointe stuns Reardon with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Reardon throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Lapointe counters with a two punch combo. Lapointe fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Reardon looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Lapointe lands a body shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Lapointe connects with a jab. Lapointe lands with a shot to the body. Lapointe connects with a single shot there. Hank Reardon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Reardon misses with a body punch
and Lapointe connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Reardon takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Hank Reardon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lapointe scores with a crisp jab that stopped Reardon in his tracks. Lapointe lands a nice shot to the body.

Lapointe feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Lapointe cracks Reardon with a solid left hand. Lapointe trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Lapointe sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Reardon's guard. Lapointe wants to control but Reardon is keeping him busy.

Bill Lapointe overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lapointe connects with a nice short shot to Reardon's temple. Reardon is looking for a sweep. Lapointe is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Lapointe wants to control but Reardon is keeping him busy. Lapointe thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Lapointe working over Reardon with some ground and pound. Reardon looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Reardon looking for subs from the bottom but Lapointe mounts him!

Reardon wants to hold on but Lapointe pushes him away. Lapointe with good strikes from the mount here! Lapointe unloading with bombs! Reardon is bucking up trying to escape but Lapointe cracks him with another couple of good strikes. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Lapointe cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

And that's the end of the fight! Bill Lapointe showed his dominance in that final round. Well Lapointe has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
