Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fredrick Castle Iv! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alvaro De Silva! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De Silva drives through with a takedown into Castle Iv's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. De Silva pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Castle Iv is keeping the position for now. De Silva is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Castle Iv really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Castle Iv working a defensive guard here.
De Silva postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Castle Iv is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of De Silva, into his guard. Castle Iv's corner is telling him to maintain position. De Silva has a closed guard, preventing Castle Iv from standing up. De Silva working for a triangle but Castle Iv defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. De Silva looking for a guillotine here but Castle Iv defends easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Castle Iv looking to sit in guard and control but De Silva gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. De Silva postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Castle Iv is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of De Silva, into his guard. De Silva looks gassed! Castle Iv is working De Silva over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. De Silva is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Castle Iv trying to control the position from guard on top but De Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Castle Iv is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because De Silva is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Castle Iv wants to stand but De Silva has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Castle Iv trying to move into half guard but instead De Silva has managed to sweep!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. De Silva is working Castle Iv over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Castle Iv is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Castle Iv trying to control the position here. Castle Iv thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Castle Iv wants to stand but De Silva is controlling the position. De Silva wants to pass the guard but Castle Iv is keeping the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alvaro De Silva dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Castle Iv tries to clinch up. The fight stays on the outside here - Castle Iv looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Fredrick Castle Iv is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. De Silva takes a swing at Castle Iv's ribcage but misses. Castle Iv tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Castle Iv tries to clinch but fails miserably and De Silva counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Castle Iv is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute De Silva jumps into side control! De Silva tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no De Silva has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! De Silva tries to advance to mount but can't. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. De Silva is breathing heavily. De Silva tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no De Silva has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's one minute gone in the round. Castle Iv is looking for a sweep. De Silva working away. Castle Iv is not content to let De Silva control the position. Castle Iv wants to get back to his feet. You can see the frustration on Castle Iv's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. De Silva is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Castle Iv knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Castle Iv is trying to control De Silva's posture but De Silva avoids it. De Silva tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Castle Iv regains half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. De Silva stops Castle Iv from getting back to his feet.
De Silva trying to mount his opponent but Castle Iv defends it. De Silva is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Castle Iv defends it well. Castle Iv pushes De Silva off looking to stand but De Silva dives back in and keeps control.

Castle Iv wants to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Castle Iv trying to control here.
De Silva is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. De Silva thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. De Silva decides to stand up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alvaro De Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
De Silva feints and as Castle Iv raises his hands in defense, De Silva changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. De Silva lands a couple of decent looking shots. De Silva passes Castle Iv's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Castle Iv wants to control but De Silva is keeping busy and won't allow it. De Silva is pressing down on Castle Iv's thigh, looking to free his foot. Castle Iv is holding on for now. De Silva thows a huge punch but Castle Iv dodges it nicely.
De Silva throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. De Silva is thwarting Castle Iv's attempts to control the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Castle Iv tries to get to full guard but De Silva has control of the leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. De Silva wants to work for an arm triangle but Castle Iv is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
De Silva not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. De Silva seems to be working for a kimura but Castle Iv defends the submission attempt. De Silva is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
De Silva decides to return to a standing position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Castle Iv stalks De Silva and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into De Silva's face. De Silva staggers backwards, shaken. Castle Iv darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Castle Iv wants to stand but De Silva has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. De Silva kicks Castle Iv off and gets back to his feet. Castle Iv shoots and misses and De Silva decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Castle Iv's guard. De Silva lands a couple of digs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. De Silva scoring with punches to the head and body. De Silva passes Castle Iv's left leg - he's now in half guard. Castle Iv is looking for a sweep. De Silva is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. De Silva is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
De Silva works his way into full mount! De Silva can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Castle Iv is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. De Silva is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Castle Iv to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Castle Iv shrugs it off. Castle Iv tries to hold on but De Silva postures up. De Silva working for a guillotine from mount but Castle Iv is in no mood to give up. De Silva looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Fredrick Castle Iv has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Alvaro De Silva is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. De Silva wants to control the pace but Castle Iv is squirming around nicely.
And that's the end of the fight! Alvaro De Silva comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well De Silva has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
